Right now, as I’m writing this, I’m in bed—sick and exhausted. I just tested positive for COVID, and it’s been rough. The symptoms seem to change every day, and honestly, it feels like I get COVID every year. It’s draining—physically and emotionally. I hate being sick.

One morning, on my husband’s day off, he asked me what I wanted for breakfast. I said I was craving pastries from my favorite local bakery. Without hesitation, he went to the store. When he came back, he brought me not only pastries but also a beautiful bouquet of flowers. It made me smile. In that moment, I was reminded that sometimes, it’s the smallest gestures that mean the most. I felt so blessed. My husband is so thoughtful and loving. And sometimes I catch myself thinking, How did I get so lucky to have this man in my life?

Our wedding vow, “in sickness and in health,” has been tested more times than I can count—but he never wavers. He’s here, still standing by me, even in my worst and most fragile moments. I truly believe God knew exactly who I needed in my life.

We met at the right time—when we were both single and ready for something real. On our first few dates, my husband made his intentions clear. He didn’t say he’d marry me right away (lol!), but he showed me through his actions that he was serious about building a future together.

I’m not writing this to brag. I’m writing this out of deep appreciation. I tell him often how grateful I am, but sometimes I just need to put it into words—especially when I feel overwhelmed with emotion, like I do today.

One day, when I look back and read this again, I want to remember this exact moment. The feeling of being cared for. The quiet, beautiful presence of love during hard times. And the truth that even in the middle of sickness and weakness, I am so deeply blessed.
