In 2017, I felt a deep desire in my heart to start a blog — to give something back to the community, to share my faith with others, and to tell my stories and testimonies about how God has helped and transformed my life.
When I was single and living alone in New Orleans, I often found comfort and strength in reading blogs written by fellow believers. In addition to watching sermons, going to church, praying, and reading His Word, those blog posts played a big part in strengthening my walk with God. They were life-changing.
That’s why I want to give back. I want to help others the way those writers helped me. Who knows — maybe by sharing my stories, I can touch someone’s life. Even if it’s just one person, it will be worth it.
Now that I’m in a new season of life and downshifting, I realize it’s the perfect time to finally pursue this dream. At first, I was hesitant to post anything because I was afraid of what people might think or say. But in spite of my fears, my husband encouraged me to go for it. I’m so grateful for his support — he’s a great writer and continues to inspire me with his words.
So here we go. I’m stepping out in faith. I dedicate this blog to God and pray that through it, His name will be glorified.
